Our week

This is what our house looked like the first few days of June. Blah!! I hate throwing up! For some reason (I think it's purely because I'm "the Mom") I was the only one who didn't get sick.

We told the boys, their bodies had caught "the flu bug" and they just needed to throw up until all the germs were out of their bodies. During one of Evan's vomiting sessions, a fruit fly got caught in his spit up bowl. Evan exclaimed, "Look! I got one of "the bugs" out!" LOL!

We did recoop in time to celebrate Dave's 31st birthday! Happy Birthday Hubby!

We spent a big chunk of the day on the beach at Half Moon Bay. There's this great tide pool spot there with all kinds of treasures and creatures.


We saved a few star fish. (Threw them back into the water.)

It really was a fabulous day!

Dave requested a pull-up bar (the P90x chin-up bar to be exact) for his birthday.

I love the determination on Andrew's face here!

(P.S. There was a photo on the box of a guy doing pull-ups and he had his shirt off. So before the boys started doing theirs, Andrew said, "Wait! Wait! First we have to take our shirts off!")

I've been neglecting our blog lately. So I'll just post a lot of photos and call that good.

I LOVE this book! I can't recommend it enough! Maybe it's just catered to the way my mind works, but for me. . . .the book just makes sense!

Andrew is now potty-trained! It was an intense day and a half, but he did it! We made cupcakes with jelly beans on them to celebrate.

A lot of wrestling!!! Wrestling has been a huge part of our lives lately, and it's about to come to an end.... until next year.

Will and Cassie invited us over for an Easter egg hunt after church. Oh how we miss a yard!! Look how beautiful and green it is! I love easter photos, they're always so colorful.

I've finished a lot of "projects" lately.

This is really for my benefit more than anything else. I guess so I can remember I really did accomplish something.... or finish somethings I've started.

I did a lot of sewing!

I found some scrap wood in our storage locker and made something to hang our bath robes and jeans on inplace of the end of our bed. :) It's been working....so far!

I don't know what got into me, but I decided I wanted to make some aprons for mothers' day.

So why do I keep posting Evan's drawings? Partly because I'm proud of how well he draws and well, partly because then I feel justified in throwing them away. :)

I was in the office when I overheard this:

Evan: Hey Dad! As soon as I'm grown up our family will have two dads!
Dave: You want to be a dad when you grow up?
Evan: Yep.
Dave: You know what happens when you become a dad?
Evan: What?
Dave: I become a grandpa!
Evan: Aughhhh! You mean you're going to have white hair and be old?
Dave: Yep.
Evan: Aughhh! I don't want you to have white hair and be old!
Dave (laughing): Well, it will be a while before I get that old.

Evan: Hey Andrew! You know when YOU'RE grown up, Daddy will die!

LOL! I was cracking up.

Dave and Evan are at a wrestling tournament today...

and I'm realizing I never posted photos of their last tournament.

This was two weeks ago down near Modesto.

My photos are blurry, sorry I don't have any better ones.

Because of his weight, Evan was wrestling kids a year or more older than him. (He lost two, and won one.) I think it was kind of a blow to Evan to realize there are kids who are stronger than him. LOL! I love his confidence.

I told Dave he's got to work me into this whole wrestling world slowly. This was a perfect tournament for that. He wrestled all three matches and was done within an hour, and they gave each participant a medal.
